The media have hyped up Michael Phelps as being “the greatest olympian ever”. And I take my hat off to him for achieving eight gold medals in the 2008 Beijing Olympics. However, for me, the star of this Olympics has to be Usain Bolt of Jamaica. The 22-year old winner and world record breaker of the 100m (9.69 secs) as well as gold medallist of the 200m event, in which he broke Michael Johnson’s 1996 world record of 19.32 seconds with a very close 19.30 seconds

Watch the 100m final and 200m final to see for yourself why this guy truly lives up to his surname.
